My Journey to
Better Health

At 17, Derek Timbs became a father, and by 19, he was a certified respiratory therapy technician working in a small-town hospital. Over the years, balancing family and education led to neglecting his health, resulting in a weight of 305 pounds at 5’10”. Feeling physically and mentally unwell, Derek decided to take control at 21.

With limited options in the mid-90s, Derek used phentermine to curb his appetite, adopted a restrictive diet, and committed to daily exercise. In just 6 months, he lost 100 pounds, reaching 205 pounds. This transformation sparked a lifelong dedication to health and fitness, shaping his career in preventative medicine
